First Team Squad
Rachael Bowd (Captain)
Age - 22 Position - Right Back
A very solid, hard working player, "Bowdie" has been given the Captains armband for the 2011-2012 season. A vocal, lead by example kind of the player, she has even started weighing in with a few goals. 2010-2011 Players Player of the Year.
Claire Knox (Vice Captain)
Age - 28 Position - Right Midfield
"Knoxy" has been given the position of Vice Captain for the upcoming season and wears that title with pride. On her day she is a match for any full back and works incredibly hard for the team. She has formed the perfect partnership with Bowdie and they compliment each other well both in attack and defence.
Stef Day
Age - 26 Position - Centre Midfield
Stef has been converted from a Centre Half in to a midfielder during pre season and she has been one of the outstanding performers in her new role so far. A combative player, strong in the tackle and good in the air, Stef has all the attributes of a good player and we hope her early season form continues.
Tash Dowdell
Age - 21 Position - Centre Back/Centre Midfield
Tash is in her second spell at Town and we are pleased to have her back. She will be a real asset to the club this season and with the ability to play in different positions she will be an integral part of Town success this season.
Jade Horsley
Age- 16 Position - Left Midfield
2010-2011 Most Improved Player. Our youngest player in this years squad, Jade can play with both feet, take players on and chips in with the occasional goal. The management are hoping that Jades improved fitness levels this year will help her become more of an attacking threat an improve her all round play.
Kat Hodgson
Age - 32 Position - Utility
Kat is a useful squad player to have around and will always give you 100%. A real team player in any given situation and always plays with a smile on her face.
Karen Williams
Age - 41 Position - Centre Back
A no nonsense player who always gives everything to the cause, strong in the tackle, Karen is a real winner and rarely loses out in a challenge. Her experience will be vital in ensuring Huntingdon have their most successful season to date.
Sian Gamble
Age - 26 Position - Centre Back/ Centre Forward
A real powerhouse of a player, not many players in the league will match Sian for her power and presence at set plays. A key player to have in the side on her day and we all expect Sian to score a lot of goals this year.
Jo Bull
Age - 36 Position - Centre Midfield
Jo is the calming influence in the side, when the game needs slowing down she can expertly put her foot on the ball and bring others in to play. Unfortuntately Jo is struggling with injuries at the moment but when fit she will offer something slightly different to what the team have at the moment.
Helen Jenner
Age - 39 Position - Centre Forward
Helen improves with every game she plays and works incredibly hard both on and off the pitch. She has an excellent attitude and will never let anyone down. Is a good second striker to have as she holds the ball up well and links play between midfield and attack.
Laura Gilbey
Age - 24 Position - Goalkeeper
An exceptional goalkeeper, Gilbey is an excellent shotstopper who commands her box well, and marshalls her back line in a firm, confident manager. One of the, if not the best goalkeeper in the league.
Laura Melling
Age - 25 Position - Left Back
Our very own Carlos Puyol impersonator, Laura is another one who improves with every game she plays. Positionally very good and works hard at her game to bring the best out of herself.
Megan Stow
Age - 16 Position - Centre Back/Centre Midfield
Another new signing this season, Megan has made the step up from Huntingdon Rowdies and has so far impressed with her bullish play. For her age, Megan is incredibly strong and doesnt get knocked off the ball easily. If Megan continues to prgress like we all think she can she will be a match for any attacker she meeets this season.
Claire Radford
Age - 26 Position - Centre Midfield
"Radders" has outstanding technical ability and will be one of the most influencial players in the side this year. Good with the ball at her feet, she can spot a pass others cant, good at set plays and has improved her fitness during pre season. Radders, is an incredibly gifted player and can unlock even the tightest of defences.
Hollie Dare
Age - 27 Position - Centre Forward
Hollie is another who is having her first full season for Huntingdon. Joined us towards the back end of 2010-2011 and made an impact immeadiatly. With pace to burn, an eye for goal and techically sound Hollie is the player to watch this year. Converted from an attacking midfielder in to a on the shoulder striker she seems to be flourishing and her work rate and fitness levels are impressing everyone more and more with each game she plays.
Chloe Houston
Age - 18 Position - Sweeper
Chloe has an excellent attitude towards the game and is always willing to learn and develop new skills. Lighting quick and good in the air. A very vocal player who will only get better.
Livvy Pettit
Age - 17 - Position - Utility
Livvy has proven during pre season what a good player she can be. Very quick, good on the ball and works hard for the team.
Sophie Thornton
Age 18 - Position - Right Midfield
Possibly the best striker of a dead ball we have at the club, unfortunately, we are losing Sophie to University in September but hope she makes herself available as often as possible.
Sophie Marheineke
Age - 20 - Position - Centre Midfield
A real coup for the club to get someone of Sophie's ability at the club. Having previously played for Cambridge Women she is comfortable on the ball and has an excellent eye for a pass. Another one to watch this season.

Youth Football
The youth football set-up at Huntingdon Town is run by Huntingdon Town Rowdies. They have a range of teams for players under the age of 16 and have close ties to the Senior squads.
